1. Introduction of LVD certification

2. The relationship between LVD directive and CE mark

The CE mark is a self-declaration that the manufacturer's products comply with the requirements of the corresponding EU directives, including the Low Voltage Directive (LVD), the Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive (EMC), etc. In order to clearly indicate that the product complies with its Low Voltage Directive, the CE mark must be marked on the product. If the CE mark cannot be marked on the product, it can also be marked on the product packaging, user manual or warranty (guarantee). The way a manufacturer marks a product with the CE mark is to inform the governments of the European Community that his product is legally sold and that the product meets the official requirements contained in the CE mark. However, the CE mark is not a mark recognized by consumers, but is only an approval mark approved by the governments of the European Community for import.

3. The scope of application of LVD

The Low Voltage Directive applies to all electrical equipment used in the range of AC 50V to 1000V and DC 75V to 1500V. This voltage range refers to the input or output voltage of the device, not the voltages that may occur inside the device.

5. LVD certification process

Step 1: Application (1. Fill in the application form 2. Provide information and send samples);

Step 2: Quote (according to the information you provide, an engineer will formulate the corresponding standard, test time and corresponding cost);

Step 3: Payment (After the applicant confirms the quotation, signs the application form and service agreement and pays the payment);

Step 4: Testing (the laboratory will conduct a full set of tests on the applied product according to the relevant EU testing standards);

Step 5: The test is passed and the report is completed;

Step 6: The project is completed and CE certificate is issued;
