The product attestment system that Malaysia executes is divided into compulsory attestment and voluntary attestment two kinds. Communication equipment and 31 categories of electrical products specified in the Regulations on the Approval of Electrical Equipment shall be subject to mandatory type certification and safety certification respectively, and other products shall be subject to voluntary certification. At present, for electromagnetic compatibility, Malaysia has not implemented mandatory requirements. SIRIM certification is a leading certification body in Malaysia. Any factory or company may apply to SIRIM for approval according to the accepted standards under the product certification system. These certifications are voluntary, but in many cases mandatory certification is required at the request of government management. There are many different types of products in Malaysia that are required to comply with the IECEE CB system. MS marks and ST marks are voluntary and mandatory safety marks for products exported to Malaysia respectively.

3. SIRIM certified factory inspection requirements
1. The first factory inspection must comply with the product certification system, once it meets, the certificate will be issued.
